Set in the heart of the Dolomites
A 400-year old
legacy awaits you
Carefully renovated in 2020, today Chalet Doss has lost none of its charm and magical simplicity, but has retained a hint of luxury for today’s discerning travellers. Think giant larch beams, roaring fires, granite stones, sauna, hot tub, cinema room PS5, pool table and sumptuous local foods and wines.
ABOUT US
THE HOUSE
Ancient stone and
wood corridors
The centre-piece of the chalet is the living room where a vast fire-place creates a focus point to gather round and enjoy drinks and cakes on comfy sofas; a backdrop to the long dining room table where guests are served meals in the evening under the giant larch timbers and granite stones of the house.
ACCOMODATION
WHERE A GOOD NIGHT’S SLEEP IS TREASURED
With 9 bedrooms located across four floors, the chalet guarantees privacy and space for guests, who can decide to gather together or retreat to their own private spaces whenever they wish.
There are no tvs in the rooms. This is elemental simplicity at its best, where sleep is treasured, and wrapped up under a cosy duvet, the only sound one hears at night is the rushing river and perhaps the rustling of a badger or owl outside.
An Italian winter wonderland
WORLD CLASS SKIIING
Chalet Doss is located a short 7 minute drive from Madonna di Campiglio. Often referred to as the ‘pearl of the Dolomites’, the breath-taking ski area of Madonna di Campiglio stretches across 156km of perfectly-maintained slopes with 61 modern lifts, and is home to the World Cup Super G tour that takes place every year. In recent years the resort has also added in a toboggan run where guests can take their sledges and experience a thrilling ride through a carved trail.
‘Dolomite perfection’
THE SUMMER
For many years the Dolomite summers have been a bit of secret until now! A world away from the intense skiing of the winter season, in summer time the Dolomites transform into a lush green landscape of meadows, flowers, forests and bubbling alpine streams. Deer, badgers and even the odd bear can also be spotted around the chalet. It is a magical place.

Experience Chalet Doss
Fading pink mountain tops, wood fires and prosecco with friends and family, warming up after a day on the slopes. Spotting deer passing through the meadows from the terrace. Eating goulash and giant boards of polenta tucked up high in a rifugio. The sounds of laughter and voices of all ages drifting up through the giant ancient beams of the chalet. A place to slow down, where memories are made. This is Chalet Doss.
ECOLOGY
Chalet Doss has been built to be as sustainable as possible
Chalet Doss is located in the heart of the Parco Adamello Brenta national park, a unique UNESCO-protected area, revered for it’s magical pink mountain peaks, and the animals that call it home. Every night badgers rustle around the grounds of the chalet, deer can be spotted grazing across the meadows from the chalet balcony, and bear prints are frequently found after the winter hibernation ends. Bear numbers have soared in recent years, due to the rich habitat and the protective pride of the local people who consider them neighbours. If the Rockies had a more gentle European equivalent, this would be it. Each room is named after one of the animals we have seen or filmed close to the chalet.
about us
Set in the heart of the Dolomites
The owners of Chalet Doss are a British-Italian family with strong roots to the area, who dreamed of a place where they could bring their own friends and family together under one roof, and welcome others to do the same.
